Custom Foot Orthotics

We understand that foot pain and discomfort can greatly affect your daily activities and overall quality of life. That’s why we offer custom foot orthotics as part of our comprehensive approach to foot and lower limb care. Our team of experienced professionals will work closely with you to assess your needs and create orthotics that are tailored to your unique foot structure and biomechanics.

What are Custom Foot Orthotics?

Custom foot orthotics are specialized shoe inserts that are designed to provide support, stability, and alignment for your feet. They fit the contours of your feet and address any specific foot conditions or biomechanical issues you may have. Unlike over-the-counter shoe inserts, they offer superior comfort and are highly effective.

What are the benefits of using Custom Foot Orthotics?

Benefits of custom foot orthotics:

Pain Relief:

Orthotics can help alleviate various foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis, flat feet, high arches, bunions, and Achilles tendonitis. By providing proper support and alignment, they can reduce pain and discomfort.

Improved Function and Performance:

Orthotics can enhance the biomechanical efficiency of your feet and lower limbs. By correcting imbalances and abnormal foot motion, they can improve your gait, balance, and overall movement, allowing you to perform better in sports and daily activities.

Preventive Care:

Custom orthotics can prevent the development or progression of foot-related problems. They help distribute your body weight evenly and reduce excessive pressure on certain areas, thus minimizing the risk of injuries and deformities.

What is the Process?

Our process:

Assessment:

Your Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your feet, including a detailed examination of your foot structure, gait analysis, and a discussion of your symptoms and concerns. We do not limit ourselves to simply analyzing foot function, but we also determine any spinal or lower limb issues that might be contributing to your pain. Your therapist will then determine if orthotics are the solution to your problem. This is followed by a computerized gait and pressure analysis of your feet to ensure the highest level of accuracy.

Customization:

Based on the assessment findings, we will create a personalized orthotic prescription. The orthotics will be custom-made using high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to ensure a precise fit and optimal support.

Fitting and Follow-up:

Once your custom orthotics are ready, we will schedule a fitting appointment. We will ensure that they fit comfortably and provide the desired support. We will also provide instructions on how to wear and care for your orthotics. We encourage regular follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments.

Do they come with a warranty?

Any modifications to your orthotics are free of cost if done within 90 days. Depending on the type of orthotic that you choose, the warranty ranges from 6 months to a year from the time of ordering. The warranty typically covers delamination and tearing.

Will be benefit plan cover the cost?

Most Extended Health Benefits do not allow direct billing for Orthotics. Each Extended Health Benefit plan is different and there is no universal rule. Please contact your Extended Health Benefit Plan directly to get complete details on your coverage. Once you provide us with that information, we will be able to work with you to provide what you need to submit your claim.
